I see people for a variety of issues; life transitions, grief and loss, self-destructive habits or patterns that interfere with their daily functioning, traumatic histories. relationship issues and other concerns. I believe each person has all that they need inside them to get to where they want to go. I am very interested in working with you to facilitate your journey of exploration and change. Whether you are new to therapy, or you are seasoned in therapy, I invite you to call me.
In relationship people often find that the parts of themselves that have hindered their growth most flourish in an intimate relationship. In these sessions people learn more about what may drive them to repeat behaviors over and over again, and have an opportunity to learn and practice improving their intimacy and improving their interactions. Many seek to strengthen their current relationship, or talk about very difficult topics that are otherwise avoided. I am committed to helping my patients slow down instead of acting out, teaching them how to put their thoughts and feelings into words, and helping them increase intimacy in their relationships.
Group therapy changes lives. Many people struggle with their interpersonal relationships, whether it be their inability to form close relationships or their dissatisfaction with the quality of their current relationships. In group the members will deepen their understanding of themselves and their relationships. In a group, members will learn how to be honest and direct with their feelings toward others. They will also receive ongoing support from other members who are committed to their personal growth.
